Exhibition. Kevin McSherry has been working as an artist/illustrator for the last twelve years and has been commissioned along the way by leading broadsheets such as the Irish Times or the Wall Street Journal. His work, for the most part rendered in acrylics, recalls some of the timeless surrealism and effortless painterly skill of Magritte.
This exhibition of his editorial illustration work will not only engage and delight the eye but also endeavour to explain the process by which illustrations are produced. In 2002, he curated and showed work in the Chester Beatty Library as part of the exhibitionIllustration : The Art of Contemporary Illumination with the Illustrators Guild of Ireland. Earlier this year he was selected for a group show in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in the Louvres, Paris.
