‘Wet-into-Wet’ Oils
Alla Prima (‘Wet-into-Wet’) Oils Painting Workshop. €75
Level: Beginner – intermediate
What is it?
This is an oil painting class in the ‘Alla Prima’ style. Literally, this means ‘All at Once’ or ‘From the Outset’. It’s an immediate ‘wet-into-wet’ technique for painting which is the method I teach during the 6 week terms at my studio. Results come quickly and paintings can have an exciting, vibrant feel. I recommend this technique for those wishing to start oil painting. Students will learn to prepare their canvas or other ‘support’ for painting and produce paintings quickly.
What will I paint?
Still lifes. It’s the best way to get you used to the medium and the basic techniques that you can apply to all other subjects. All paintings will be done from life.
